A perilous quest for forbidden artifacts

 

Among the stars lies riches and treasures sometimes beyond the imagination. Sometimes lost technology, sometimes valuable objects. But there are even rarer jewells.

The potential reward for a strange specimens lies out there. From the eggs of dangerous creatures to enslave or sell to the most brutal beastmasters of Cirece, Ghalmek or even Commorragh.

Sometimes it is a stash of rare weapons or archeotech, finely crafted to survive the millenia, and with enough power to be feared even by entire military organizations.

But the darkest secrets are seeked by individuals with psychic abilities and complete disregard for any moral or safety concern. Capable of sacrifice anyone around them for a grasp of power. They bet their lives for grabbing old artifacts or remmanants of the warp that use to increase their abilities. Associate with them is also a risk, as the gains may be enormous, but the artifacts infused by the warp attract sensible predators or critters from beyond the veil.

Another personality for TTRPG/Stargrave. A psionic alien that will lead a band of the worst scum in the galaxy. Also, a stash of grenades and a power cell or something warp-related.

I enjoyed a lot painting the coat in old leather mixing tones and doing a lot of dotting.

I also painted several random encounters based on warp-beasts from the old dark eldar range and a phase cat from Reaper Miniatures. For the cast I left the translucent platic still visible in most parts of the body except for the face and the paws.

The warp-beasts are painted in an unatural zombie-flesh colours mixed with the old-schooled red spines and the muscles for a bit of contrast.

Oh, and some alien eggs for the loot counters.

A bit of fun until I paint a larger project.
